I completed my clinical training in surgery in the classical manner, after 5 years in general surgery, 3 years in trauma surgery and 1 year in vascular surgery followed. During this time, my enthusiasm for Trauma surgery and orthopaedics, I moved to a maximum care hospital to familiarise myself with and treat injuries of all degrees of severity.
Due to my own sporting activities (football, handball, badminton, jogging, mountain biking), my focus was on the treatment of sports injuries. I also used my time as a junior doctor to work as a sports physician and looked after the Kickers Offenbach professional football team as team doctor.
For the last 7 years of my clinical career, I worked as a senior physician in the Department of Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery at Offenbach Hospital. In addition to the daily (and nightly) treatment of fractures of all degrees of severity, I was responsible for sports orthopaedics / sports injuries. During this time, I performed well over 1000 operations under my own responsibility.
During my time at the clinic, outpatient fracture treatment became increasingly important. I would also like to introduce you to our Trauma surgery practice enable outpatient surgical treatment of your injury and fracture.
Thanks to my specialisation in the field of trauma surgery and Orthopaedics and my broad basic training, I perceive the patient as a whole and find the "right path" together with him.

I was there for the first time and immediately felt comfortable and very well received. After my accident on 20.06.21 I came across Dr Riediger because I needed a referral for the hospital. After talking to him for about 1/2 hour, the decision was made that he would perform the operation on an outpatient basis and I was fitted with a plate and was able to start physiotherapy almost immediately afterwards. After just 6-7 weeks, I was able to do almost all the same activities as before the accident. This step of moving away from Dr Riediger I have never regretted having the treatment. During a fall on black ice, I suffered a radius fracture in my right forearm. Just one day later, outpatient surgery was performed by Dr Riediger and his super great team. I felt like a private patient at all the check-up appointments that followed. Minimal waiting times and short distances to the X-ray (the radiology department is located one floor below). By the time you are back upstairs in the practice, the images are already on the PC. I can only say positively that everything is very structured here and that they take time for the patients, treat them in a friendly manner and inform them about the current status of their treatment. I was in a lot of pain after a fall. I described this to the lady at reception. She told me that I could come straight away without an appointment and that I should bring some waiting time with me. But to my surprise, I was seen after just 15 minutes. Dr Riedinger suspected a rib fracture or bruise. He sent me down to the first floor for an X-ray. I didn't have to wait 5 minutes there either. Afterwards I was able to go straight back to Dr Riedinger into the consulting room. He already had the images on the desktop and diagnosed a quadruple rib fracture. He showed me the images. He prescribed Novalgin tablets for the pain. I was able to leave the doctor's surgery less than an hour later. I just loved how friendly the lady was on the phone and later at the counter. After a sports accident, I went to the emergency consultation on Monday and after a short wait I was diagnosed with a Weber B fracture. It was not possible to say at that time whether there was also a torn ligament, as this could only be seen during the operation. The operation was scheduled for the same week. Unfortunately, there was also a torn ligament, which made everything even more complicated. Dr Riediger took enough time for my questions and the treatment. I came to the practice without an appointment with a displaced fracture of the radius close to the wrist. The waiting time was only about 15 minutes. During the subsequent consultation, my injury and the necessary operation were explained to me in detail and clearly. 48 hours later, I had already been discharged from Dr Riediger operated on. Another day later, I had a removable wrist brace instead of the plaster splint. During the follow-up examinations Dr Riediger always have enough time to check the healing process and discuss it with me. Today, a good two months after the operation, the fracture has healed superbly and my mobility has already been restored to such an extent that I can cope with my everyday life without any restrictions, just like before the accident. And even if, despite my good experience at the practice, I wish I didn't have to use their services again ;-), I would go there again at any time for treatment. After a long time with pain and restricted movement in my right shoulder, I ended up with Dr Riediger. I immediately had confidence in him thanks to his friendly charisma. Dr Riediger explained his diagnosis to me very clearly and recommended an operation, which he then performed perfectly. (Rotator cuff reconstruction for extensive rupture of the SSP) The care after the operation, which was performed on an outpatient basis, also left nothing to be desired. The individual steps were also explained clearly during the regular follow-up examinations. He also drew up a detailed treatment plan for the physiotherapist. The mobility of my shoulder has been restored almost without restriction after 3 months. The entire practice team is very friendly and helpful. They almost always keep their appointments very well. There may be waiting times due to accident patients. But each of us would be happy to receive preferential treatment in the event of an accident. I would also choose this practice again at any time for other orthopaedic procedures.
