Dr Daniel Fries

Specialist in orthopaedics and trauma surgery
Emergency medicine
Senior emergency doctor

After studying human medicine at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, I began my medical career at the clinics of the Main-Taunus district in Hofheim and Bad Soden, where I successfully completed my specialist training as an orthopaedic and trauma surgeon. During my studies, I worked in the shock room team at Frankfurt University Hospital, where I was involved in treating the most seriously injured.

From 2015 to 2024, I worked as a specialist in orthopaedics and trauma surgery in an orthopaedic practice in the heart of Frankfurt am Main. In addition to trauma surgery and joint orthopaedics, I specialised in the treatment of acute and chronic spinal disorders, including paravertebral and CT-supported injections next to and into the spine as well as sclerotherapy of the small vertebral joints.

My entry into the medical sector began back in 1997 with my part-time, voluntary training as a paramedic and my work as a paramedic in the Main-Taunus district since then, from 2008 as an emergency doctor and since 2017 as a senior emergency doctor. Before and during my studies in human medicine at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, I worked as a nursing assistant at the Frankfurt am Main-Höchst municipal hospitals. In addition to my work as a doctor, I also take part in the medical on-call service at weekends and on public holidays.

As part of my special reserve military service, I advise the state command of the German Armed Forces and the Hessian state government on medical issues. I am a member of the board of the DRK Main-Taunus as a district association doctor.
